Effectiveness of Low Impact Cardio

Is it really important to include cardio in our daily routine?

Many people talk about cardio, its health benefits, and its usefulness for losing weight. But they only have a vague notion of its importance and what it is. This is why I want to give you the correct information to practice it safely and effectively, achieving the goals you have set for yourself.

Cardio is understood as physical activity that strengthens the cardiovascular system through repetitions and time cycles. Cardio exercises are essential to maintain good health, and if losing weight is in your plans, it will be your best ally.

Doing cardio is not just going to the gym

Beyond what most people may think, physical activity is not just going to the gym and running for half an hour on the treadmill; other activities will make it easier to do these exercises throughout the day, known as low impact cardio.

These activities can be playing sports with friends, dancing while you clean your kitchen, or just going out for a walk with your pet; the important thing is to stay active. But how can you know how much activity time is right for you?

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the recommended amount of physical activity for adults is 150 minutes of low impact cardio or 75 minutes of high-intensity exercises per week.

However, we know not everyone can do cardio exercises in the same way, so it is recommended that you start with short periods and light exercises; I assure you that with perseverance, you will reach these guidelines in a short time.

Importance of cardio exercises in health

It is common to think about physical exercise as something that requires a lot of effort; because of this, it is easy to give up the idea of doing it. However, if we combine low impact cardio with activities that we like, it will be easier to get used to the idea of doing it and take it as a habit.

It is also necessary to know why it is important to maintain an active life and take precautions when starting. For example, having a weekly exercise routine will strengthen the cardiovascular system, prevent heart problems and diabetes, and even improve mental health.

Some suggestions to keep in mind if you decide to do cardio are:
• Consult your doctor beforehand if you suffer from chronic illnesses or any inability to perform the exercises.
• Do not exercise for a long time; it is best to divide it into short periods.
• Do not do strenuous routines that your body cannot withstand; it is better to start little by little.
• Eat properly; not doing so can cause dizziness and fainting.
• Stay hydrated during activity.

Keep in mind that you may find difficulties that will make you want to give up; the important thing is to face them proactively and keep going until you achieve your goals. Stay active and ensure a healthy life for a long time.
