Research has shown tart cherry juice benefits may include reduced muscle pain,  inflammation, systolic BP, LDL cholesterol and Cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors. This could be particularly beneficial to runners, those who exercise vigorously and people suffering with arthritis, inflammation issues and gout.

It is thought some 25% of gout sufferers have tried cherry juice and cherry products to relieve gout symptoms. Studies have found cherry products may reduce inflammation and pain associated with gout flare ups. Patients looking for pain relief may feel more comfortable using this more natural alternative to over the counter medicines.
